China’s e-commerce has experienced several periods, including the period of enlightenment and hatching (1994-), the period of start-up and exploration (1997-), the period of fever and dreaming (1999-) and the period of depression and confusion (2000-). Along with the downward moving of Nasdaq and the uprising tide of re-cognition of global online economy, China’s e-commerce, re-thinking and summarizing at the beginning of the new century, has marched into 21st century with the tanglement of feeling lost, thinking twice, undergoing adjustment and questing for breakthroughs.
China is a developing country, consequently China’s economy is under development and the popularity rate of Internet is comparatively low. There are many obstacles on the way of developing online retail industry. Wise advice from talents and professionals are needed to deal with various problems, such as security of e-commerce, people’s concept of views on consumption, distribution and settlement and social credits.
