BORLAND SOFTWARE CORPORATION COMPLETES NAME CHANGE
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., -- January 22, 2001 -- Borland Software Corporation (NASDAQ: BORL) today announced that the Company has completed its name change from Inprise Corporation. Effective at the open of trading on Nasdaq, the Company's Nasdaq market symbol will be changed from "INPR" to "BORL". The name change, which has been applauded by longtime customers, partners and industry analysts since it was first announced last November, is the culmination of Borland's financial and strategic transition.
