1.操作系统
(1)Windows 95 与 Windows 95 OSR2 都可使用AGP显示卡，但是如果要享受到AG
P的所有好处，必须升级成OSR2.1。
要安装Win95 OSR2.1，必须先安装OSR2.0，然后再安装USB升级程序USBSUPP.EXE
（注意版本语言，不同版本语言千万不可使用，也不要尝试运行。一旦运行不同
版本语言的USBSUPP，将没有任何提示直接安装，无法反安装，结果是windows95
无法启动，开机即自动提示你关闭电脑，且在同一目录下重新安装windows95也无
法启动，必须在不同目录下重装，我已在多台机器上遇到过了。）
识别Windows 95 OSR2.1 的方法：
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\VersionNu
mber 版本编号是4.03.1212或4.03.1214
(2)Windows98 Beta3 或以后版本才可同时支持全部Direct3D与AGP功能。
2.安装主板AGP接口驱动程序。注意要使用正确芯片的VXD驱动程序，尽量用能找
到的最新版本。（Windows98 已包含大部分VGARTD程序，在安装VXD驱动程序前请
确认要安装的版本比windows内带的新。）
3.安装AGP显示卡的驱动程序，用最新版本。
4.安装Dirext X 6.0。

Windows 95:

2. Get "USBSUPP.EXE" from Microsoft, which includes the USB supplement
and a new memory manager (VMM32.VxD) needed for the AGP DIME (Direct
Memory Execute) feature.
3. Install Microsoft DirectX 5.0 or later version.DirectX 5.0 is the
first DirectX version that supports AGP's DIME.
We can get this driver from Microsoft too.
4. Get "VIAGART.VXD", a virtual device manager which usually will be
installed in the following installation procedure of the Windows 95 card
driver.
5. Get AGP Master (i.e., AGP VGA) Driver from VGA Supplier. Install VGA driver
for Windows 95.
Windows 98:
1. Install Windows 98.
2. Install AGP Driver
3. Install VGA driver.
