苏幕遮（赠竹露荷风的青罗寂）
淡荷风，
丝竹雨，
河畔黄昏、
独有青罗女。
素手盈盈槌纱缕，
寂寥声声，
谁解心衷曲？
浣纱白，
纤影绿，
行客痴看、
不忍匆匆去。
欲问青罗何必寂，
又恐唐突，
不敢高声语。

按现在的语音押韵，未严格按平水韵。共14行，因此翻译成
英文时也译成14行诗。
十四行诗（Sonnet）每行10个音节，全诗共14个韵尾，固定
有几种押韵的格式，与我国古典诗词有些相似，这里选用勃
郎宁夫人常用的一种。
Sonnet: Blue Girl
Red lotus flowered beside green bamboo.
Blowed the gentle breeze with the rain so slight.
On the bank of the river before the night,
the dusk just surrounded a blue girl through.
So pale her hands with the long skirts same blue.
Lonely washing bundles of cloths all in white,
with the hands deep in water, left and right.
Silent river flowed as her silence too.
Gazing at the river I stood far away.
Misty rain dropped in the sky as her tears,
for all lone people in this rainy day.
Although your tears dropped for one thousand years,
I prayed you to leave them at yesterday.
Forever trust, after winter,---- spring appears.
