这方面知识而不甚了了。现慢慢介绍一二。

语出圣经 << 旧约.诗篇> 第十七章第一节。 这句
格言的全句为: keep me as the apple of the eye, hide
( 保护我就象保护眼珠，把我藏于您的羽荫下。)
me under the shadow of thy wings. e.g.
1. charles is the apple of his mother's eye.
( 查尔斯是他母亲的掌上明珠. )
2. my wife & i brought our daughter up like
( 我们夫妇养育女儿犹如掌上明珠! )
