to have a crush on (someone);
to feel an instant magnetism;
to catch one's eyes; to hit it off;
to have the hots for (someone);
to be attracted to each other.
* He (she) has a crush on her (him) (他對她十分愛慕) 。
* He felt an instant magnetism when their eyes met.
* A nice-looking girl caught his eye.(漂亮的妞兒吸住)。 注意:不用 eyes。
* He was introduced to a pretty woman and they seem to hit it off immediately.(他被介紹給一位漂亮女子後,他們似乎就一見鍾情)。 或
* They were attracted to each other the moment their eyes met.
* When he met her, he had the hots for her.(當他見到她,他就對她愛慕不已。)(多半指 sexual attraction。)
* She did not feel any attraction toward him.(她對他毫無興趣); 或
* He is the man for whom she feels no attraction, catch or no catch.(不管他的條件好或壞,她對他就是沒有興趣)。
to be a lady's man (或 ladies' man);
to be a prince on a white horse;
to be a casanova;
to be a womanizer.
* Mr. Lin has been considered a prince on a white horse.(林先生被認為是白馬王子。)
* He is a prince in a shining armour.(動詞時態:shine, shone 或 shined。)
* Many people think that Mr. Clinton is a real lady's man.(或 a real womanizer)(許多人認為柯林頓先生喜歡在女人窩裡。)
*As a casanova, he has many girl friends.(由於他是美男子,他有許多女友。)
* He has melted her down and made her knees buckle.(他把她溶化了,使她拜倒他的西裝褲下)。
* So many women swarmed him like bees to the honey.(許多女人看到他,就像一群蜜蜂見到蜜那樣蜂擁而至。)
倘若說:…… like flies to the garbage 指像一群蒼蠅喜歡垃圾那樣,當然就不是恭維了。
to be a beauty queen; to be a dream boat;
to be a cutie; to be a babe;
to be a fox.
* She is a beauty queen.(= very beautiful)
* She is a cutie.(= pretty and attractive)(漂亮迷人)
* She is a dream boat.(= ideal type of woman)(理想女人)
* She is a babe.(= very beautiful and attractive)
* She is a fox.(= She is a foxy lady = She is sexy.)(她很性感)。
注意:如果說: She is as sneaky(或 cunning)as a fox.
* Her beauty (attraction) has caused his knees to shake.
* She made him feel up there in the clouds.
(= on clouds nine = on the top of the world)(她使他神魂顛倒,飄飄然如仙。)
(Beauty is in the eyes of beholder),世上的美或醜,只是主觀的看法而已。
to fall in love with (someone);
to fall head over heels in love; to love (someone) from head to toe.
* They have fallen in love with each other for years.(他們相愛多年)。
* He fell head over heels in love with her.
(= He fell for her head over heels = He is head over-heels in love with her.)(他與她沉溺情海,愛得暈頭轉向。)
* He loves her from head to toe.(他從頭到腳地愛她)。
* He falls madly in love with her.
* They are two peas in a pod.
* They only have eyes for each other(and forget the entire world.)(世界上似乎只有他們兩個人。)
5. to sow (one's) oats; to fool around with women.
Before his marriage, he sowed his (wild) oat.
Do you think he is sowing his (wild) oats?
Now he is divorced, he is feeling his oats again.(現在他離婚了,他又在動女人的腦筋了。)
He liked to fool around with girls when he was young.(他年輕時喜歡與女孩鬼混。); 或
He was a promiscuous lover. He tried to get many girl friends.(他亂交女友)。 或者,
He falls in and out of love as the wind changes.(他愛來愛去,像風變一樣。)
6. to make a pass at (someone); to make eyes on (someone); to kid around with (someone).
He(she)has made a pass(或 passes)at her (him)(他挑逗她)。
She was 18 when he made a pass at her in the bar.(她18歲時,他在酒吧引誘她。)
He made eyes on her.(She is attracted to him.)或
He kids around with her in a flirting manner.(他對她眉來眼去。)
7. to sweep(someone)off(someone's)feet.

Miss Young swept Mr. Lin off his feet.(楊小姐使林先生十分愛慕。)
She has so far swept ten men off their feet.(她如今已經使十位男人傾慕。)
Cellist Yo-Yo Ma swept Taiwan off its feet during his visit.(大提琴家馬友友訪台時引起台灣的狂熱。)
注意:feet前面的代名詞所有格,要與前面名詞受格一致(即:Sweep me off my feet; swept Taiwan off its feet; sweep the lady off her feet)。
8. to turn a few heads.
She has turned a few heads.
= She has made men to turn a few heads.(也許因為她美麗性感或賣弄風情,使男人回頭看她幾眼。)
As she is beautiful, she turns a few heads.
同理:
He has turned a few heads.
= He has made women to turn a few heads.(也許因為他英俊瀟灑使女人回頭看他幾眼。)
= As he is handsome, he turns a few heads.
She (he) attracted other people to turn a few heads.
The baseball star has turned a few heads.
= The baseball star has made the fans turn a few heads.(因為他打球有名,所以球迷轉頭看他。)
注意:老外不用 to turn many heads 或 to turn a lot of heads,因為不太可能一次就有許多人同時轉頭看。
9. to be off-limits; to be hands-off.
She is off-limits.(=She is not available.)(沒有說明原因,也許因為結了婚或名花有主。)
She(he)is off-limit because she(he)is married.
Hands-off the married man.(Womam)(不要動已婚男人(女人)的腦筋。)(Hands-off = keep your hands off)
The building remains off-limits.(這棟大廈不對外開放。)
She may dump hands-off boy friend.

She has a reputation of being easy.
She gives herself to her boyfriend in every way.
