一、too作也讲，只用于肯定句中：
We are making this experiment, too.
二、too用作太讲，用于形容词或副词前：
There is too much water.
三、当“too+形容词或副词+动词不定式”时，后面动词不定式意义在翻译时要加上一个否定词：
The question is too hard to understand.
四、当“only或but+too+......+动词不定式”时，后面的动词不定式在翻译时不必加否定词：
We are only too pleased to work together with the workers.
五、“cannot...too...”结构，应理解为：“无论怎样......也不会过份”。例如：
We cannot be too careful in doing experiment.
六、too表示数量增减情况：
1.It is too long by half. 它长了一半。
2.This rod is 3 inches too long. 这根棍子长了三英寸。
