Sing Up For The Champions II: You Are My Solskjaer
在曼联发行的歌曲 《Sing Up For The Champions》 有这样一段:
You are my Solskjaer

这段歌词十分能够体现球迷对 Solskjaer 的热爱, 尤其是 "You make me happy when skies are grey" 这句话, 对于经常在关键时刻进球的 Ole 来说是太贴切了.
这段悦耳的音乐来自美国乡村音乐家 Jimmie Davis 的经典作品 《You Are My Sunshine》. Davis 在1940年2月4日录制了这首歌. 在发行后的一个月内在美国的销量超过了100万. 在英国发行后, 当时的国王乔治六世说这首歌是他的最爱.
作为一首经典的歌曲, 许多人都曾经翻唱过这首歌. 其中包括 Mitch Miller, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Tina Turner 等等.当然还有曼联的球迷...

在上次介绍的一首歌 - 《The Andy Cole Song》中，也出现过相同的旋律。不过，最早是诺丁汉森林队的球迷把她用在足球场上的。
这个旋律来自50年代中期一部成功的电视连续剧《罗宾汉历险记》（The Adventures of Robin Hood）中的主题曲。由 Dick James 演唱。歌词是；

Feared by the bad, loved by the good,

不难理解为什么诺丁汉森林队的球迷会把这首歌改改就词在球场上唱，反正都是歌颂家乡的英雄。其实如果提到“诺丁汉”和“森林”这两个词，你可能马上就想到罗宾汉这个传奇人物了。当年罗宾汉和他的同伙们就在诺丁汉一带频繁活动，根据地就是 Sherwood 森林……
对于罗宾汉这个人，无论是历史中的他，还是民间传说中的他，或者是他的传奇，他的性格，他的爱情，他的死亡原因，他的盗窃手段等等，包含的东西太多了，在这里就不说了。总之，传说中的他是一个非常牛X的侠盗。
因为罗宾汉的传奇经历，所以关于他的文学作品，电影，音乐什么的有很多。据说肖恩.康纳利和奥黛丽.赫本在1976演过一部叫《Robin and Marian》的电影。
我所知道的最近一部关于罗宾汉的电影是《Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves》。90年代初的老电影了，当时我还小，没什么印象，后来才知道是美国大腕凯文.科斯特纳主演的。难怪没取得什么成功，让美国人演英国侠盗就是个错误。不过 Bryan Adams 凭借这部影片中的歌曲《Everything I Do (I Do It For You)》却红遍了整个地球...
扯远了，回到唱给 Giggs 的歌。虽然这首歌是用歌唱 Prince of Thieves 的旋律来歌唱 Prince of Old Trafford，而且挺好听的。但我最喜欢的，也是最能体现 Giggs 特点的应该是那首“Giggs 会把你撕碎 again”。我会在以后介绍那首伟大歌曲。

这段经典的旋律来自一首名为《My Old Man's A Dustman》的歌曲, 这首歌是英国音乐传奇人物 Lonnie Donegan 的不朽作品之一。
Sir Lonnie Donegan 被誉为英国摇滚音乐的奠基人。在上世纪50年代，他的音乐横扫英伦三岛。他融合了民谣，爵士，福音和蓝调，创造出一种新的音乐风格 -- Skiffle，他自然成为了“The Legendary King of Skiffle”。 这也使他成为了英国第一位在音乐方面的超级明星。
Lonnie 作品的感染力在于它的通俗化，而且注重即兴发挥。乐队使用一些简陋怪异的乐器（号称有用扫帚柄做的单弦‘Bass’）。这意味着任何人都可以组建自己的乐队。于是英国各地一下子冒出了许多同类乐队，他们在一些节日和街头聚会上表演。事实上，那是冲击英国的第一次大众参与的音乐文化浪潮。
在追赶即兴演奏音乐潮流的年轻人中，有一队来自利物浦 Quarry Bank 中学的学生，他们自称为“Quarrymen”乐队的第一场演出是在 Woolton 的 St Peter 教堂喜庆日上。在1957年7月6日，一名纨绔（玩cool）子弟在大庭广众之下自弹自唱了“Cumberland Gap”和“Maggie May”等传统歌曲，他的名字叫 John Lennon。
《My Old Man's A Dustman》这首歌改编自英国民间小调“My Old Man's A Fireman”。它是 Lonnie 后期的作品，那时他在传统音乐中融入了新颖的音乐元素。这首歌的歌词比较长，下面是被曼联球迷采用的那段旋律的歌词：
Oh my old man's a dustman,
He wears a dustman's hat,
He wears cor-blimey trousers
And he lives in a council flat.
He looks a proper nana
In his great big hobnail boots:

不少人翻唱过这首歌，但风格上没什么很大的突破，大同小异。不过有一个改编的版本是《My Old Man's A Provo》，这首用来唱爱尔兰共和军的歌曲还是比较有意思，其中的歌词是：
Well my old man's a Provo with a beret and a gun
I haven't seen him lately, he's always on the run
He looks so really trendy in his shades and DM boots
Much better than those other dads in ties and shirts and suits.
有些巧合的是曼联球迷也采用这个旋律来歌唱爱尔兰人 Roy Keane。关于爱尔兰的音乐和 celtic 文化，涉及的方面太多了。以后有机会再说吧……
