第三首“完美的感觉(第一部分)”(Perfect Sence, Part I)讲的是什么使祖先们
走上这条破坏之路，歌的开始讲到猴子坐在石头柱子上，手里拿着骨头。我们没
有被告知在歌曲开始之前发生了什么但是这一定非常重要因为歌中唱道“转身背
向花园”(Turner his back on the garden)，这指的是《圣经》中离开伊甸圆，
但是“猴子”不会，或者拒绝学习过去的错误。“记忆是陌生人，历史是给白痴
准备的”(Memory is stranger/History is for fools)，猴子同样用宗教来证明
他的行为；“然后他在一池子神圣作品之中洗了手”(And he cleaned his hand
s/In a pool of holy writing)。“人是万能上帝手中的一件工具”(Man is a
tool in hands of the great God almighty)是重要的一句，宗教根据人的行为
免除他的责任。歌曲还指出了个人行为的徒劳无益因为最初他离开了伊甸园，而
在最后他又在寻找。这首歌在音乐上非常醇厚流畅，直到第二部分都没有停顿。
