"What? She tries to dump me?" he screeched in anger, reading the short letter that his wife left on the table. His sleepy eyes were no longer small, but wide-open, and almost on fire. He was shocked and sit down on the bed like a stone without any feelings. This was a letter from his wife. It was a short letter; however appeared to have been written with caution.

I have made my mind finally. I should let you know that our marriage is over. Our love is over. I just want to tell you that you will have your own life and I will have mine. I thought it was a mistake we got married in a big hurry two months before I came to America. We didn't have enough time to communicate each other and know each other better. Unfortunately, we have been watching our new family fading away. The love between us is slowly dwindling away. Together is gradually apart. We were apart for almost two years. Your warm spot in my heart is getting cold and cold. It is really hard for us to be together like the old days. Everything is gone and never comes back.
Let's move on with our lives, hoping the pain will end; the tears will dry up. I plan to go with him and transfer to a university in Virginia. I hope you will find a lovely girl who loves you. I'll pick up my baggage tomorrow. Good luck.

"Go with him? Come on! That short and old man? Give me a break!" He shouted and consumed with jealous fire. He bit tightly his lips. His eyes were open so wide they seemed to bulge from his face. It was a mystery to him because he felt so cold from her since he came here. He finally figured out why she didn't want to make love with him since he was here. This was the answer to so many questions in his mind. So many jealous thoughts rushed into his mind. He seemed to see her eyes glancing into that man's; she entertained that man with the smile she used to give to him; her hand touched that man's side the way it once touched his, her laugh so amazing and yet it felt like a knife to his soul. "Oh! No!" he couldn't continue to think a little further...
Calming himself a little bit, he felt so alone and empty in this crowd room. His eyes were moist. He stared at her bold signature with a pang in his heart. He knew he couldn't provide any help when she did need last two years. That was when remorse and guilty had overwhelmed him, and during the following hour he was touched by a new wave of hurting every time he read the letter. He shivered involuntarily, not entirely certain if he was still appropriately thinking. The profound sense of loss had struck the core of his being. These sad words jumped out at him from her handwritten page describing all the sadness and regrets which she and he were experiencing in the past two years. "Oh! No!" he screamed, tears coursing down his face.
This letter seemed to have forecast an uncanny mood of repentance and destiny. "No! This is just a trick!" he seemed to realize something, yelled to the letter, and hit the table. "Is today the April 1st? Yeah! April 1st! It is April Fool! Perhaps this is her small trick on April Fool's Day? Gee! She has learned a lot since she came here. She even knows how to joke around. She was not that kind of person before." He tried to persuade himself, but without confidence. "Is Today the April Fool's Day? If so, it is a 'for-fun-only' observance. This is not fun for me at all!"
