Finally, I have been to New York and seen the cultural activitie there.
The performers that night were McCoy Tyner and Mac Gollehon.
Originally I was so disappointed that Toots Thielemans will tour
there in September, and I'm not gonna make it.
At first, i know nothing about these two,
but the thing turns out to be the best
as McCoy Tyner actually is a legendary pianist
who used to be in John Coltrane's quartet.
When he first appealed, people all went crazy and cheered so loud.
His looking is extremely cool, but he has a very friendly personality.
And the piano he plays is breaktaking!
I actually forgot to breathe when he played.
The only un-ideal thing that night is Blue Note was so crowded,
and I can only get a standing place.
But with such beautiful music, it worths anyhow.
(PS, maybe later I'll write about it in details in Chinese when I got time. Just wanna share this lovely experience with all you guys:)) |
